Lehigh U in PA states on their student health website that they do not administer medications for off-label use. 👍

There are colleges where trans ideology is resisted. One example is Yeshiva University in NY. I’m not sure if Catholic universities are uniformly resistant but they are a good option. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but if I had It do again, I definitely would have nudged my kid toward a less progressive college. I’m just grateful she opted to do a gap year before starting college.

I'm guessing the numbers will go up once donors realize their money is being used to rush people to medical intervention without consideration of all these contraindicating issues.

Another is Notre Dame. Also Villanova. I checked their health services and didn’t see anything indicating gender affirming treatment on site.

This is the real conversion therapy - creating the 'trans' person. Signs on campus 'Are you trans?' - I hope such propaganda will be well used in court cases

It’s not just suing universities that’s going to move the needle, it’s also reaching alumni who might not be so generous if they understood what their gifts are going towards.

I wonder how many alumni would be ok with kids being encouraged to do this who shouldn't be.....getting sterilized, having surgery? With their money?

I refuse to give another dime to my alma mater, a prominent seven sisters school, for their insistence on the idea that “trans women are women”. I am sure the many Orthodox Jewish women who are graduates are similarly alienated from the college. Their recent Alumna quarterly was literally a tribute to trans identities, and their Women’s Studies department has been renamed “Gender Studies”.

Alumni donations and gifts are what colleges care about most and what shape these institutions. For example, the college I worked at went from being a school for nerdy kids to a school for jocks over a period of a few years because one prominent alum gave millions for new athletic programs and facilities.

We could have written this nearly word for word. Can you say how your son is doing-how long on hormones? Our son has just started down this wrong path with complete enabling by what we view as inept if not worthy-of-a-malpractice-suit medical handling. But right now: we just want to save him and are looking for a happy ending if it’s out there!!!

I worked at a college psych service for years, and I’ve seen the craziness take root. Trans ideology is the primary driving force behind these mental health services. The students have pushed for not one but two trans staff members, as well as trainees that go by neopronouns. I can no longer work there because I cannot keep a neutral position.

Craziness has taken root in the UK. Strange how difficult it is to challenge the madness of the transgender ideology. Seems like society is suffering a massive delusion.

I saw a social media post of a girl we know with boy name who celebrated how at college "This life saving medicine is free" - meaning "T". There has been a real push to have "gender affirming" hormones and surgery paid for by insurance and in the military. Among other things it's a real grift.

The "lifesaving" myth....

Fortunately, the school my daughter attends is so small it doesn't have a student health service. It doesn't guarantee she won't medicalize, but it at least makes things a little harder.

I hope that lots of colleges and universities go out of business because of this scandal. They don't deserve to exist.

Beware of Planned Parenthood. They lost the plot.

I've never liked Planned Parenthood. I really loathe them now. There's a clinic a few blocks from my daughter's dorm. I'm sure she knows where it is. She knows what it costs. If she wants to do it badly enough, she'll find a way.

I 100% agree with what you have written. I feel the pain of seeing your only child falling into this trap. It is not just University healthcare that does not care.

In the UK nearly all the health services have the same attitude toward gender transition. They do not care.

We knew our beloved NHS was “on its knees” many years ago. The covid 19 pandemic has finally ended the ability of the Service to care about the vulnerable mental health victims.

Easy just to sterilise them. There is no money available to provide counselling.

Ethics long ago went out of fashion

are you really suing the university? how do you have standing, since your child was presumably over 18? Is it because you paid tuition?

If it's a public university isn't there a separation of Church and State issue with this cult ideology? "Pronouns" are pushed everywhere...

I’d be interested in the legal details as well.

Wow, First Step. This is a scathing indictment of one student health center, US university, and the entire "transgender" healthcare industrial complex. You have certainly done your homework and are up to speed on all the issues. I look forward to your lawsuit and hope you sock it to them big time where it really hurts -- right in the pocketbook

And I hope your son will soon wipe away the wool that the school and activists pulled over his eyes. I hope he will soon realize the very best way for him to live is authentically. As a man.

This has got to stop. I hope you are able to sue this University and that you prevail, both obtaining injunctive relief - an Order prohibiting the University from handing out hormones off label, like poison candy - and providing monetary damages to enable your son to recover from the experimental "treatments" he received. He should be awarded several million dollars - which, of course, won't really ever make him whole - but, hopefully, he will be able to live a happy, productive life despite what they have done to him.

What university is this?

Unfortunately, I think the more apt question would be what university is this not...

Exactly

I'm sure we'd all like to know the name. But it would be a strategic error to tip our hand right now before the lawsuit is filed. Let's not give the opposition an early warning so they can lawyer up and get all their ducks in a row. Let the lawsuit come down as one nasty little surprise.

And keeping the name of the school secret, lets all the universities, not just this one, quake in their boots. Let them all realize that they're all on the hook for the lives they ruined.. The jury trials will come. And jurors, few of whom were brainwashed by woke universities, will award millions of dollars in damages for each student.

Yes. Also, more universities seem to be like this than not. It will likely only change when lawsuits make it too expensive. I complained to my alma matter upon learning of an internal pronoun app where kids could have an internal to the school name and pronoun - and did not receive a response. I later read an administrator publish in a school publication that the only concerns the school heard about this wonderful new way were of the administrative/logistical variety like kids needing to watch out for passport mismatches, etc. I believe many/most universities in the US provide hormones and surgeries via their student health service. I understand the College App solicits "gender" information like pronouns and alternate names.

Expand full comment

I knew they provided hormones. Do they provide surgeries too? If so, are these only universities that are associated with hospitals?

Expand full comment

Yes. It is in Abigail Shrier's book and I know of some more personally. It happens at University Hospitals on college insurance.

Oh, it's called the Common App.

I think most freshman orientations include having everyone share their pronouns. They capture the kids long before it gets to the point of medical harm. I expect most university workers think they are being kind and accepting promoting the ideology.

They do the pronoun sharing in high school too.

Expand full comment

Yeah, good points. I'd like to hear legal comments on this. When you are 18, you are emancipated. Why do the parents have standing?

Expand full comment

The parents may not have standing, if the child is 18 or over. However, if the child does become aware of the harm that was done, then the child can sue. I do like AlexEsq's idea that the parents may have a claim limited to the tuition they paid, but that would only be effective in a class action, where 100s of parents sue a school for refunds. The best lawsuit would come from the student - again, unless the student happens to be under 18 or at least was under 18 when the university started providing its harmful medical interventions, in which case the parents would have standing. The last idea would be to first get a finding that the student is in need of a guardianship, and apply to be that guardian, and then sue on behalf of the student - but that would be unsuccessful unless the student is truly mentally incapacitated.

Expand full comment

I am not a lawyer but I hope for a day when there can be some sort of national class action lawsuit against the ideology. The public schools are state run... And the state and national teachers associations are harming kids pushing a harmful cult religion which at best could only be described as some sort of "theory". Our national government including the Department of Education has swallowed and pushes this stuff. The wrong sex hormone treatments and surgeries happen after the kids' minds have been messed with.

Maybe the repressed memory scandals can be a guide? Here the question is medicating a person who is unaware of what they are consenting to, who is also not in a mental state to make life altering decisions.

On the topic of lawsuits, I wonder if companies like Folx Health could be sued. The company exists to sell hormones, and they have "staff clinicians" who approve requests for hormones based on a single phone call, with no prior medical examination or blood work. My teen was able to get on a subscription for mail-order hormones that way.
