Florida is safe, lol! I believe about 8 states have this law so far, including all 3 west coast ones. If Kamala gets elected, this could very well become a national law. Trump, as much as I dislike him, plans to put an end to all trans indoctrination and kidnapping!

I dunno.... During Trump's first term trans cult grew like a wild fire. Obviously, he doesn't believe in any of it but I doubt he cares enough to put a stop to it (or if it he has the capacity). I do agree that Harris would make it much worse though.
I believe he would stop it if he could, but he has to first get re-elected. I believe the Trans Cult, along with other wildfires started during his term, were purposely started to kneecap his effectiveness and re-election. His choice of Vance supports my belief. Vance is a very smart caveman, imo, and he chose a very smart woman as his wife. Trump is also surrounding himself with a different team this time around: Tulsi, Vivek, RFK, Burgum, Musk, etc. I am hopeful this November.
Tulsi is an honest and admirable and intelligent woman, despite the fact that she has been demonized by so many on the left. The fact that she has teamed up with Trump makes me wonder if there is something about him that I donтАЩt know.
Exactly! I believe he'll do much better this time, if elected. He's learned a thing or two and is a bit humbled now, by the rule of law and attempt on his life. I have a lot of confidence in Vance. He has strong family values, supports IVF, is not completely against abortion- just late term. Kamala supports late term abortions up to the time of birth and also (in CA), allowing botched aborted babies to live up to 28 days in agony, for the harvesting of their organs. Demonic!
It started with Obama's administration. Trump and J.D. Vance have stated that they are against this and wish to end the corrupt funding of the dept. of education, as we know it. He will probably leave these decisions up to the states at worst, like his plans for abortion laws. We have two terrible choices for candidates, in my opinion. Kamala is a radical Marxist and communist, plus has been worthless for 3.5 years. We're in big trouble if she wins. She's also not good with foreign policy or very intelligent. I'm reluctantly voting for 45 this time, simply for his better policies for our country in this moment.
ItтАЩs really a hard call! IтАЩm very conflicted. Maybe a Republican Congress would check any bad laws that Harris/Walz would try to pass would be stopped by Republicans. Certainly her stance on trans ideology is very disturbing.
I understand how you feel. I would suggest voting for your local candidates, especially those relating to the school boards. Try to get information about what school board candidates' positions are ahead of time. I think these local elections are more important than ever now.
Thank you. Do I understand you correctly that 8 states *have* a law allowing CPS to take kids from non-affirming parents, or *don't* have a law allowing CPS to do so please?
Regarding Harris and 45, that's chilling that this could become federal law.
However, there is no way I could vote for 45, as, for starters, this could end up being our last election, period. And he would destroy the climate, etc.
So I'm pushing hard for Harris. But we have to be really telling her campaign, and after she's elected, on her all the time, to wake up and stop pandering to the gender identity bio-phobes. It's a terrible choice to have to make, but the climate and keeping a semblance of elections in the US have much farther reaching consequences, so they and Harris get my vote.
Please see my comment, below, starting with "I have a suggestion." Except I started it a typo, typo, "O have a suggestion." (Facepalm.)
IтАЩm with you. I canтАЩt vote for Trump after January 6, 2021, period. And heтАЩd be even less likely to go quietly in 2028 at the age of 82 and with all pressure of reelection removed. However, I have little respect for Harris either. SheтАЩs done nothing noteworthy in any of her previous positions. I may skip the top of the ticket, not that it matters in this Blue state.
In CA, Gov. Newsom did veto a law that would have had the state take the side of the affirming parent in custody disputes between parents in different states . That is the only pro-parent legislation he has supported.
Re CPS, Erin FridayтАЩs group has some good advice on this. She basically shut the door in their face, pulled her daughter from school, and ultimately moved. They have resources for parents who are dealing with this.
Thank you. That's good to know about Newsom. And I so admire Erin Friday. I love her knowledge of the law and confidence to shut her door. Lol. And to move.
My #1 reason to support Harris is to prevent 45 from getting into that office. Second is for women to fi ally break that glass ceiling. The first woman to do so will not be a radical. I have long suspected it would have to be a a Republican woman to do so. It would be incredible if anyone as far left as Harris could do it. And she's not far left.
The role of thr first woman getting onto that office is to break that anti-woman stranglehold among thr public, and getting everyone accustomed to having a woman US president.
It's like with Obama. His job (unfortunately) was simply to be a black man in the White House, to break that glass ceiling and not have any scandals. Thats the role Harris would play. Anything else would be gravy.
I think even in Blue California, we cannot underestimate how unwilling people are to vote for women. To ever break that glass ceiling, every one of our votes will count. Especially yours :)
So yours is a spite vote and a gender vote. I hope you examine both sides' policies and the fact that Harris has done nothing good in 3.5 years- why would she suddenly be effective? She's done more harm, with Biden, than good. 4-8 more years of her and we're doomed. I have to look past Trump's personal issues while remembering that our country was actually in better shape when he was in office. If Kamala gets to control prices on groceries, for example, we're headed toward food deserts, disappearance of grocery items and stores, higher prices for anything that is available, and many will actually starve. That's how it's done in communist countries and Kamala is a Marxist/Communist. More kids will end up transitioning medically and the age of consent will be lowered. They already want to allow 16 year olds to vote. Many 18 y.o.'s aren't even knowledgeable to vote yet! Buyer beware.
I would be very careful about voting for Harris, Walz. I have been a lifelong Democrat, but his is an issue that will affect millions of children and parents! Both she and Walz are 100% behind the gender ideology, and once in office , how will anyone stop them from doing harm with federal laws that uphold gender ideology? If you do decide nevertheless to vote for them , at least vote Republican for senators and other candidates who may be able to stop this insanity.
I wouldn't remotely consider voting for anyone other than Harris. Trump was arguably the worst, most demonic president in this country's history, he wants to be a dictator like those he admires around the world, and this time he will set things up so he can get a third term, and we won't be able to vote him out.
At the end of this clip, Rep. Zoe Lofgren sums it up perfectly:
Any policy issues are not important. They can be changed. The overarching issue is that we won't be able to get him out of office, and we won't be able to vote to make changes to address policy issues. The only thing that matters is keeping him out of office.
The Supreme Court is on our side. The Title XI rewrite is going down. I do think the legal tide is turning. I have no idea about HarrisтАЩs personal feelings but I think she sees which way the wind is blowing.
Several courts have enjoined it. The Supreme Court unanimously (!) refused to stay the lower court decision pending appeal. Do you follow Kara DanskyтАЩs Substack? SheтАЩs a feminist, gender-critical lawyer who covers such legal developments.
Do you actually believe we had an election in 2020? We had a black hole sucking taxpayer dollars in to sway the election with Russia, Russia, Russia! We had 51 former intelligence prostitutes sign a letter stating the Biden laptop was Russian disinformation. We had the entire MSM brothel turned into a democrat campaign. None of these hookers have been prosecuted for treason. We, including you, are the only ones that can slow down climate destruction. Not very many are willing to live close to the land and cut their energy demands. Our education system, which is already terrible and will sink further with Harris and Waltz, is not able to produce the many scientists and engineers we need for R&D in materials science and recycling.
Beedlebug, do you know where per capita energy consumption in the United States? You msy be surprised. I'll let you know if you'd like to venture a guess. I do agree with you that climate protection is massively influenced by our individual lifestyle choices.
And, sorry if this offends, but Kamala has a terrible track record, is a Marxist & communist, supports medical transition of minors, indoctrination in schools and other institutions, is solely responsible for our border & fentynyl crises, intends to tax everyone to death- even the middle & lower class, through various indirect methods, and was a 2-bit prosecutor of mostly black people for possession of marijuana and other drugs. She slept her way into politics with SF mayor, Willie Brown- a married man, 30 years her senior! She cannot keep a team because she bullies them, unreasonably, out of existence. As the most radical leftist to ever run for office, along with Tim Walz who is of the same ilk, she will destroy our democracy and country quickly. She had zero votes to be elected as a candidate- so much for democracy already! She's a phoney baloney with questionable intelligence and refuses to give interviews, minus the one with CNN, prerecorded, that lasted only 14 minutes and had over half of it edited out, at her campaign's orders! That's just the tip of the ice berg with Kamala, who will flip her stances on a dime to appease whoever she needs to, in the moment. Trump is awful, but we were better off with him, as a nation, and he's direct with his intentions and actions. God help America.
Yes- I have read of 8 states that have these laws in place. The west coast, MN, ME, and I can't remember the others- possibly NY and AZ? Crazy times we live in!
Thank you, Chris. I love kids, but never wanted my own. And to be honest, I'm grateful to not be a parent given the risks to both parents and kids nowadays due to this ideology.

I support IVF with a limit of no donating embryos for research. They are either implanted or destroyed.
It started with Obama's administration. Trump and J.D. Vance have stated that they are against this and wish to end the corrupt funding of the dept. of education, as we know it. Yep. The current election cycle is a clusterfudge. I am sitting this one out.
I understand how you feel. I would suggest voting for your local candidates, especially those relating to the school boards. Try to get information about what school board candidates' positions are ahead of time. I think these local elections are more important than ever now.
